Commanders @ Saints
After a brief discussion with the homies, we unanimously agreed that taking the Commanders -0.5 is a SMASH, and qualifies as our “Leg of the Week”. Coming off a bye, the Commanders should be well rested and ready to take on the god awful Saints in a must-win game. The Commanders are right on the edge of the playoff picture, and with the Rams knocking on the door, this is an extremely important game. Therefore, we expect the Commanders to roll on the road against a Saints team that just squeaked by the worst team in the NFL. Not to mention, the Saints will be playing without Derek Carr.
Colts @ Broncos
Here is our unbiased, totally sound, indisputable pick of the week. As time goes on, you’ll realize that we are fans of the Denver Broncos. Normally, we would try to leave that out of our decision making process, but were unable to this week because we feel like everything is in place for a massive Broncos dub on Sunday. Similar to the Commanders, the Broncos are right on the edge of the playoff picture, with the Colts right behind them. The Broncos have improved consistently on the both sides of the ball each week and take on a Colts squad led by Anthony Richardson, AKA Jameis Winston 2.0. He may put up some numbers, but he may also throw 3 picks and sit out plays here and there. We think the Denver defense terrorizes Richardson throughout the game and should walk away with a solid 9-5 record.
Bills @ Lions
Normally, we try to avoid taking over/unders as a part of our teaser, however, this week’s matchup between the Bills and Lions was too juicy to pass up. We all saw the scoring fiesta between the Bills and Rams last Sunday, and we expect the same with this matchup. It has all the makings of a high scoring banger: two high powered offenses, two depleted defensive units, IN A DOME. The over may hit before halftime. Buckle up.
Chiefs @ Browns
At first, we didn’t like it. But after some discussion, we agreed this was a no brainer. Sure, the Browns have improved a bit in recent weeks, but do they really have a shot against a Chiefs team that ALWAYS finds a way to win? Unlikely.
Ravens @ Giants
This was maybe the easiest pick for us this week. The Ravens should absolutely demolish the Giants this week. No further analysis required.
Optional Legs
Dolphins @ Texans - Dolphins +10
We really liked this one initially, but both of these teams have had underwhelming seasons so far and we had a tough time deciding how this game goes. But if you want to spice up the teaser a bit, we think the Dolphins should cover 10 points here.
Steelers @ Eagles - Steelers +12.5
This sucker almost made it into the main teaser this week. Initially, we felt like taking the Steelers as 12.5 point dogs was too good to pass up, but if Pickens is out, the Steeler’s offense may struggle. Who’s Russ gonna throw moon balls to now?!
